What’d You Do This Weekend? #8

Welcome to the new week. If you are a regular here thanks for coming back and if this is your first time, welcome! I hope you enjoy the party.

I am adding a new element this week.  In addition to weekly features next Monday, there will be a mid-week feature.  This will be on Facebook and Pinterest Wednesday of this week.  This week’s mid-week feature was Linda (great name) from With A Blast:  Apple Meringue Pie.  I have never heard of this and I am not quite sure why.  Sounds delicious!

I can see everyone “springing” into action just like me.  There was a lot of great stuff and a lot of diversity in the projects submitted. So, I picked features from a little here and a little there.  Who couldn’t use some garden tips or something (anything) with chocolate and a nice little cookie for Easter?

One Creative Mommy:  Gardening for Dummies

Just Dip It In Chocolate:  Chocolate Tea Bread

The Plaid and Paisley Kitchen:  Lemon Bunny Tail Cookies

Thanks so much for sharing these lovely ideas!  If you would like to get a featured button you can grab one here.

I am open to everything except promos, political material and Etsy Shops. Recipes, crafts, house and yard projects, sewing, restaurant review or even your weekend road trip ramblings are all welcome links. You’ll note by the title of the site that I like ramblings! Whatever. I like to read and learn new things. I will be having weekly features that I will promote on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest our Monthly Newsletter and anyplace else I can think to share. We just ask that you place our button on your post or on your parties page or link us somewhere.

Strawberry Cupcakes with Marzipan Strawberries

Let’s RAMBLE!  It was another wild and windy west Texas weekend around here.  After braving the winds Saturday to gather my supplies, I spent most of Sunday hiding in my kitchen working on some great stuff to reveal this week.

Pea and Carrot Potstickers

Last week my girls were together and they invented these very interesting sounding potstickers while I kept up my baking with some more cupcakes.

Don’t forget to come back on Saturday for Saturday Dishes. This week’s theme is Easter Sunday Dinner.

Thanks for hosting! My weekend was so busy that I’m now just getting back into the swing of things! Tons of recipes to be created and not enough time in the day! Since Easter is this Sunday, why not start off breakfast with something fancy schmancy! Eggs Benedict are the perfect Easter Brunch addition! As Linda commented on this, “this would be perfect sitting in the garden, plated on pretty china and next to a silver tea set!” Imagine yourself sitting there watching the little ones hunt for eggs while you sit back and enjoy this amazing meal!
